Licensing

The FairMarket Guide to Sheetfed Presses is available only as a yearly subscription delivered on a USB thumb drive. This drive may be used without restriction on any Windows computer (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or higher), and will be good for the length of your subscription.

This method of distribution means you may use the Guide on any computer at your office, home, or elsewhere without restriction. Prior digital versions of the Guide required an activation process, but this is no longer necessary. When updates are available, you can plug into any computer with internet access and download the updates; this eliminates firewall and internet connectivity issues experienced by some subscribers in the past.

Once the subscription has expired, you will need to renew; you will then be sent a new USB stick. While the Guide on the old one will cease working, you are welcome to continue using the stick for personal data. The USB stick itself will not stop working, just the Guide on the stick.

If you require extra USB drives for you subscription, these can be purchased at any time.

If you lose any of your sticks, it will cost a pro-rated amount plus a shipping and handling fee of $10 for a replacement which will be good for the time remaining on your subscription. For example, based on a replacement cost of $150, if you have 6 months left on your subscription: $150 / 12 = $12.50 X 6 = $75 + $10 s&h = $85 total to replace a lost thumb drive.

  • The starting and ending dates of your subscription are based on your purchase date.
  • For example, if you purchase the Guide on December 1st, your subscription begins the same day, and will expire one year later on November 30th.

  • When your subscription nears its expiration date, the Guide will notify you so you have plenty of time to renew before the subscription expires.
  • If your subscription expires before you have had a chance to renew, please note that the Guide will not continue to operate.
